CFS Systems supply, install, commission and maintain a wide range of Fire Detection and Alarm Systems; from basic manual systems to intelligent automatic systems, to homes, businesses and service providers across all industries. As the purpose and structure of every building is different, we will create a unique system design to protect life and your property. When it comes to Fire Safety, we do not let our customers settle for any less than the best.
As an employer or building owner, it is vital that you take on a qualified Fire Safety Engineer to assess your site, in order to design a Fire Detection and Alarm System that is tailored to the needs of the premises. At CFS, it is our duty to make sure your Fire Detection and Alarm System is professionally installed and commissioned by fully trained engineers, is fit for purpose and legally compliant to protect your employees, customers and your business
Using our in-depth knowledge and experience, CFS will protect your loved-ones and safeguard your home. We can also include valuable features such as remote monitoring to the Fire and Rescue Service for extra reassurance. By giving you early warning of the outbreak of fire, an effective alarm system can stop a small incident becoming a total disaster.
CFS will start by carrying out a detailed survey including risk-assessment of your home or business, to identify the steps needed to keep it safe from fire. Using our findings, we can determine which category of fire system is most suitable for your property and advise on the most cost-effective way of achieving this and show you how our systems can be tailored to suit the unique layout of your property.
Fire Systems can be identified using categories: M, L and P, with some more complex systems combining features of 2 or more categories in order to meet the demands of the whole site.
- M – Manual systems, such as hand bells for alerting people to a fire.
- L – Systems designed to protect life.
- P – Systems designed to protect buildings and property.
Once designed and agreed, we will return to install and commission your system; making sure it is safe to use, functioning properly and fully compliant with the SP203-1 scheme for the design, installation, commissioning/handover and maintenance of fire alarms and protection systems. All systems will then be issued with the relevant certification and signed by an authorised engineer.
Our fire detection systems can include the supply and installation of all or some of the following:

Our products include:
- Optical Smoke Detectors are sensitive to the larger particles produced by slow burning fires and less suited to detecting the smaller particles of fast burning flames.
- Ionisation Smoke Detectors are sensitive to the small particles of smoke released by fast developing fires that have already produced a flame. They are slightly less effective at detecting large smoke particles produced by smouldering or slow burning fires that have yet to develop a flame.
- Heat Detectors are insensitive to smoke and are triggered by a sudden rise in temperature. Heat alarms have a fairly limited area of detection which means that they are best used as part of a system of multiple devices.
- Multi Sensor Detectors use both Optical and Heat systems – these are useful for preventing false alarms in areas such as on-suite bedrooms.
