EMERGENCY LIGHTING

CFS cover the design, installation and maintenance of emergency lighting systems; providing a battery-backed illumination system that will activate automatically when a building experiences a power outage, mains system failure or in the event of a fire.

Emergency Lighting

Emergency lighting systems are designed to illuminate a darkened building to an adequate level of visibility to aid safe evacuation of occupants, reducing the risk of injury or panic.

Emergency lighting systems are powered in one of two ways – either via a central battery source, or by a single point self-contained system. Our team will build a bespoke package catered ideally to your requirements and needs of your premises in accordance with BS 5266-1 2016, government requirements and building regulations.

  • Emergency Escape Lighting – Emergency escape lighting systems provide adequate light levels to enable occupants to safely cease activities and to evacuate the building swiftly.
  • Escape Route Lighting – ensures that evacuation paths are well lit to provide a safe escape route for occupants.
  • Open Area Lighting (Anti-panic lighting) – illuminates open spaces such as corridors and offices, to enable occupants to identify escape routes or safe places.
  • High Risk Task Area Lighting – used in premises where occupants operate activities or machines that may prove dangerous in the event of a power cut. Designed to provide lighting levels that are sufficient to enable operators to safely cease activities, shut down machines and terminate the use of high risk equipment.
  • Standby Light – Standby lighting systems provide sufficient illumination for building occupants to continue their working activities as normal.
